Advancing human health with precision nanomedicines
The Day Lab engineers nanoparticles to enable high precision treatment of cancers, blood disorders, and gynecologic/reproductive health conditions. Additionally, we study nano/bio interactions from the subcellular to whole organism level to elucidate how nanoparticle architecture impacts function. Our nanoparticles enable high precision therapy through targeted gene regulation, phototherapy, or drug delivery. In this presentation, I will discuss my group’s recent advances in these areas, with a particular emphasis on antibody-targeted and cell membrane-coated nanoparticles for management of hematologic disorders and breast cancer. Collectively, our studies have shown that precision nanomedicines have substantial potential to advance human health.
