New Faculty Commencing Sept 1, 2020
Weiwei Xie received her B.S. from the Nankai University (Tianjin, China) in 2010 and her Ph.D. from Iowa State University (with G. J. Miller) in 2014. Following postdoctoral work with R. J. Cava in Princeton University, she joined the faculty at LSU in 2016. In 2020, She relocated to Rutgers. Her group’s research focuses on experimental and theoretical quantum materials, with a specific emphasis on discovering new superconductors, semiconductors, and magnetic materials. She was awarded Beckman Young Investigator in 2018; NSF Career Awardee in 2020; Rainmaker Emerging Scholar for Research and Creative Activity from LSU in 2020.
