Tuesday September 12, 2017
Wright-Reiman Labs Room 260
"Controlling Enzymes Using Computational Design"
Design of enzymatic properties from the bottom up allows interrogation of the biophy sical bases of enzyme function and evolution, and enables sustainable and e fficient use of biomolecules for industrial and therapeutic purposes.
I will describe our development and use of computational protein design me thods to predictively alter enzymatic stability for applications in biocata lysis, therapeutics, and in bioremediation of environmental toxins.
< strong>~Coffee/tea will be served prior to lecture.~
