"Controlling Enzymes Using Computational Design"
Design of enzymatic properties from the bottom up allows interrogation of the biophysical bases of enzyme function and evolution, and enables sustainable and efficient use of biomolecules for industrial and therapeutic purposes.
I will describe our development and use of computational protein design methods to predictively alter enzymatic stability for applications in biocatalysis, therapeutics, and in bioremediation of environmental toxins.
~Coffee/tea will be served prior to lecture.~
