Extension of the concepts from Inorganic Chemistry (01:160:351) to an in-depth examination of the chemistry of specific groups of elements and the frontiers of inorganic chemistry such as functional inorganic materials, nanomaterials, and/or catalysis. This course is recommended as an addition to Inorganic Chemistry IIA (01:160:352) for students interested in graduate study in inorganic chemistry but can be taken instead of Inorganic Chemistry IIA to satisfy degree requirements.
