Abstract: We developed chiral phosphoric acid derived from (R)-BINOL as chiral Bronsted acid catalyst for the nucleophilic addition and cycloaddition reaction toward imines. We also reported several chiral phosphoric acid catalyzed enantioselective reactions, which do not involve imines. Recent progress in the chiral phosphoric acid catalysis, such transfer hydrogenation to ketimines and enantioselective bromination leading to chiral biaryl structure will be discussed.
