bermanCCB Distingushed & Board of Governors Professor Helen Berman has been named to the 2016 ISCB Class of Fellows for her roles in creating and leading the Protein Data Bank and Nucleic Acids Database, her innovations in computational biology including methods and standards, and her distinguished contributions to structural biology.

Fellow status is given to ISCB members that have distinguished themselves through exceptional contributions to the fields of computational biology and bioinformatics. Professor Berman was introduced as part of this year’s class at the 2016 Intelligent Systems for Molecular Biology meeting in Orlando, FL this past July.
